Road reopens after N3 crash
Units from An Garda Síochána, fire crews from Cavan and Ballyjamesduff, and multiple ambulances were deployed to the scene on Friday
A N3 near Lavey has reopened following a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on Friday afternoon.
One person, the driver of the car its understood, was airlifted from the scene to a Dublin hospital for treatment for serious injuries in the wake of the crash.
Units from An Garda Síochána, fire crews from Cavan and Ballyjamesduff, and multiple ambulances were deployed to the scene in a large-scale response following the accident, which occurred around lunchtime.
The busy N3 route was, until last night, completely shut near the Bent Elbow while garda crash investigators attended the scene.
