More than words: Drumlane’s Joe claims All-Ireland Scór title

Homecoming planned in Milltown at 4:30pm

It was a proud moment for Cavan and Ulster yesterday in Senior Scór as Joe McManus of Drumlane GFC clinched the All-Ireland title in Recitation.

Joe, who won the Ulster Scór Sinsear recitation title in March, has been representing Drumlane in Scór competitions since 1984. His dedication and talent were on full display at the national final, earning him the coveted All-Ireland honour.

His home club celebrated the achievement, stating: “Massive congratulations to Joe on his fantastic victory in the Scór Sinsear All-Ireland Final yesterday. This is an outstanding achievement and a proud moment for both Joe and the entire club. His dedication, talent, and commitment have truly paid off. We’re all incredibly proud—well done, Joe.”

To mark his success, Drumlane GFC is hosting a homecoming celebration this evening. Supporters are invited to join a guard of honour from the hall to the pub in Milltown at 4:30pm. Fans are encouraged to bring Drumlane flags, wear plenty of green, and give Joe the welcome he deserves.
