Tommy 'Thomas' Reilly, of Ard na Laoi, Drumalee, Cavan, and formerly of Ardlougher, Ballinagh, passed away on Sunday, May 3, after an accident involving a tractor on a local road in Ardkill Beg, Carrickaboy.
The married dad of three, aged in his thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He is survived by his wife Aimee and daughters Aoife, Ciara and Maeve, parents Cathal and Martina, brother Cathal, sisters Sheila, Kathleen, Maureen and Áine, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
His Funeral Mass will take place later today (Thursday) at 2pm in the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, followed by burial in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Drumavaddy.
Gardaí have meanwhile renewed their appeal for information in relation to the fatal collision. Road users who may have witnessed the incident, or who were travelling in the area between 9am and 12.40pm and may have camera or dash-cam footage, are urged to contact Cavan Garda Station.
Investigations remain ongoing, and a forensic examination of the scene has been completed.
