Gardaí seize €140k worth of suspected drugs in Carrickmacross

The man gardai arrested in connection with the seizure has been charged.

A MAN in his 30s has been arrested after Gardaí raided a property in Carrickmacross on Wednesday and seized €140,000 of suspected drugs.

Gardaí obtained a warrant to search the property on Wednesday, May 6 as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs.

During the search officers found approximately €140,000 worth of suspected drugs on the premises and arrested a man.

The suspect was detained at a Garda Station in Monaghan under Section 3 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84. He has since been charged.

He is due to appear at Cavan District Court tomorrow morning, Friday, May 8.

Gardaí said their investigations are "ongoing".
