Leona Connolly, 27 Oran Railway View, Belturbet, Co Cavan and formally 5 Cavanreagh, Scotshouse, Clones, Co. Monaghan. May 11th 2026, suddenly but peacefully at her residence.

Predeceased by her grandparents Pat & Annie Connolly and Willie & Theresa Moore, uncle Brendan Moore, aunt Pauline Rathigan and her nephew Odhrán Connolly.

Remembered with love and sadly missed by her family, her loving son Harrison, parents Ollie & Bridie Connolly, brothers Patrick (Lisa) and Martin (Ida), sisters Jennifer (Andrew), Emma, Sinead (Matt) and Aine (Martin), nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Mai Cosgrove (née Clyne), number two, Cusack estate, Ballyjamesduff. Mai died peacefully in the care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital with her loving husband Barney by her side.

Predeceased by her daughter Mary Mc Clone and son James Mc Clone. Sadly missed and deeply regretted by her husband Barney, his son Bernard, her relations and all her neighbours and friends in Ballyjamesduff and beyond.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan (H12 RF78) on Wednesday 13th of May from 6pm to 8pm with prayers at 8pm. Requiem mass at 11am on Thursday in St. Joseph’s Church Ballyjamesduff followed by Mai's Cremation to Lakelands Funeral Home & Crematorium, Cavan.

House Private please.

Barney would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given to Mai by all the kind and dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Virginia.

Out of respect for the local residents, please follow the directions of the parking attendants and observe the parking restrictions around the neighbouring houses when visiting Lakelands for the reposing. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the care of the wonderful staff of the Lisdarn Centre, Cavan.

Beloved husband of Margaret, dearly loved father of Louise and Corina and adored grandfather of Rían and Senan.

Predeceased by his parents Philip and Jane, his brothers Louis and Michael, and his daughter born an angel, Mary Ann.

Forever loved, Phil will also be greatly missed by his sister Ann, son in law to be Daniel, nieces and nephews, all his extended family and his many neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral mass on Friday at 11 o'clock in St Patrick's Church, Maudabawn. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Gerry’s family will walk alongside him from his home on Thursday morning at 10:30am to arrive to St Macartan’s Cathedral for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s new cemetery, Latlurcan.
