Trolley watch: 422 people waiting for beds across Ireland

A total of 422 admitted patients are on hospital trolleys on Friday.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded, with 78 people waiting for beds.

That is followed by St Vincent's University Hospital with 39.

Of the total number of people on trolleys, 283 are in emergency departments, while 139 are in wards elsewhere.

That is down from 575 people waiting for beds back on March 23rd.

University Hospital Limerick accounted for the largest number, with 96, followed by Cork University Hospital with 54.

There were 43 people on trolleys in St Vincent's University Hospital, and 40 in Beaumont Hospital.
