Monaghan and Westmeath name teams for All-Ireland clash
Breaking
Monaghan and Westmeath have announced their teams for Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC Round 3 knock-out clash in Clones.
Gabriel Bannigan has named an unchanged Monaghan side from the Round 2B win over Roscommon. Drumhowan forward Tom Doherty once again joins his Monaghan U-20 team-mate Max Maguire among the subs, with Ryan McAnespie and Aaron Carey also named on the bench.
Westmeath’s starting XV shows two changes from their loss to Galway. The Leinster champions’ veteran midfielder Ray Connellan is not named on the 26-man panel after going off injured last weekend, with his place going to Shane Ormsby. Adam Treanor will wear the number two jersey for Mark McHugh’s men, coming in for Danny Scahill. Sunday’s game, to be refereed by Cavan Gaels clubman Noel Mooney, will start at 4pm, with live coverage available via GAA+.
