Dry and sunny today with a chance of thunderstorms later on

Hot and humid today, Thursday. Dry with good sunshine for most, but there is a chance of thunderstorms developing, mainly later in the day and most likely in the west and northwest of the province. Torrential downpours with hail, frequent lightning and gusty winds are all possible if and where these occur. Highest temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees, possibly a bit warmer locally, with light or moderate east to southeast winds.

A mix of cloud and clear spells tonight with showers or thunderstorms possible bringing a continued chance of spot flooding. Still warm and humid in the south and east of the province, with lowest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, but fresher towards the west and northwest with lows of 13 to 15 degrees. Light, occasionally moderate, northerly winds, becoming gusty in any thunderstorms.

Continuing warm and humid for most tomorrow, Friday, with sunny spells and showers. Some of the showers could be heavy and thundery, merging to longer spells of rain at times with spot flooding and frequent lightning possible. Highest temperatures of 21 to 27 degrees, warmest in the south of the region. Light to moderate northerly winds becoming variable for a time and becoming light to moderate southerly in the evening.
