Turas Columbanus Walk to take place in Monaghan

Walk starts at St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre in Monaghan and continue to the Church of Ireland Hall in Glaslough.

The annual Turas Columbanus Walk will take place on Sunday, July 19, bringing walkers together for an 11km journey through the landscape associated with St Columbanus while raising funds for Crocus Cancer Support.

The walk will begin at 2pm from St Joseph’s Pastoral Centre in Monaghan and continue to the Church of Ireland Hall in Glaslough. Participants will follow in the footsteps of St Columbanus, enjoying a scenic route that combines community, heritage and fundraising.

Organisers have arranged refreshments, Turas Columbanus passports and shuttle bus facilities to assist walkers on the day. The event is open to people of all abilities and provides an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while supporting the valuable work of Crocus Cancer Support.

All funds raised from the walk will go towards helping Crocus continue its support services for individuals and families affected by cancer.
