Staying mostly dry, just a few light showers, mainly in the west. Limited sunny spells will develop through the day, before cloud thickens again from the west in the evening with some patches of rain and drizzle here towards nightfall. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, again coolest in the northwest, with a light northwesterly breeze.

Overview: Becoming more changeable as the new week starts, with high pressure losing its influence and a more mobile Atlantic regime taking hold.

Saturday night: While it should remain dry for many, cloud will spread from the west over much of the country with some patchy rain and drizzle affecting western and northern areas. Some clear spells further south and east. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, with light variable breezes.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading eastwards across the country, becoming patchier as they do so, and with many areas staying dry, especially further south and east. Highest temperatures ranging from 17 to 22 degrees, coolest in Ulster and Connacht and warmest in Leinster and Munster, with a light to moderate south to southwest breeze.

Sunday night: Generally cloudy, but staying dry for many with just some patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. Quite mild with lowest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, with a light westerly breeze.
