St Bricin’s pupils ace exams

Fifty-seven students sat the Leaving Certificate exams in St Bricins College this year and the results were described as outstanding by delighted Principal Jody O’Gallchóir.

“We had a very large cohort doing the Leaving this year and a very large number doing the Leaving Certificate Applied.

“The overall feeling from all the students is shock at how well they achieved. We are delighted for them and we would like to congratulate their families and their teachers who helped them on their journey to achieving such great results again this year,” the principal said.

“The number of students that completed the Leaving Certificate this year is testament to all the great work that has been happening in our Special Classes. We had four Special Classes here at St Bricin’s College. The staff have complimented the ability of the students and that in turn has helped the students reach their potential,” he continued.

That drive continues to provide a “new community sports facility for all” affording the entire community access to a wonderful amenity.

“We are well on our way along the road to achieving our goal and we recently purchased some land adjacent to the college.”

Planning permission will be lodged later this year.

“There is a huge amount of energy around the college and we have invested heavily, not only in the facilities at the college, but in recruiting young members of staff, who are complimenting the more established staff members. We are all working in unison for the betterment of the students”, said Mr O’Gallchóir.
