Mix of sunshine and showers

Weather update from Met Éireann.

A mix of sunshine and showers today. The showers will be most frequent and sometimes heavy during the morning with the slight chance of thunder before they become isolated in the afternoon and die away later. Cooler than recently with highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in light, occasionally moderate, northwesterly winds.

Apart from the odd light shower in northern parts early on, it will be dry tonight with long clear spells and patches of mist and fog forming in light northwesterly or variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees, with a touch of frost possible in places.

Any mist and fog patches will clear tomorrow morning to leave a dry, bright and crisp day with plenty of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with light northeasterly or variable breezes.
