A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, at a later date.

A proud Ballinagh man, Padraic took to America at once, and America took to him. For so many leaving Cavan for New York, his was the telephone number they were given and the warm welcome that helped them find their feet. He gave many years to Cavan GAA in New York as Secretary and President. A much-loved figure along his Long Island City UPS route, he later opened McReilly’s with Noreen.

He will be remembered on both sides of the Atlantic for his good humour, generosity and the quiet way he looked after people.
