Cllrs praise teams on Minor and Senior successes

Cathaoirleach Richard Truell led a vote of congratulations with Aughnamullen and Scotstown at the outset of Monday morning’s Ballybay-Clones Municipal District meeting, on what he described as “two good games”.

Those sentiments were seconded by Cllr Sinéad Flynn (SF), who also wished Darren Hughes “a speedy recovery” from an injury sustained during the game.

Cllr Sean Gilliland (FG) said that the Aughnamullen minor team had “made history”, also commending Donaghmoyne on their performance. The Lough Egish native observed that his local club would have to “put in a big shift and put their heads down for Ulster.”

Scotstown’s stalwarts put in an “exemplary” match against Truagh, he added.
