Brendan Brennan

Railway Road, Ballinamore, Leitrim / Mountain Lodge, Cavan

Passed away peacefully at his home, in the tender care of his loving family 11th May 2025.

Predeceased by his infant daughter Martina, his parents May & Jack, his brothers Dick, Frank, Martin & Joseph and his sister Mary Murtagh (Joe) Limerick.

Brendan will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Vera (nee Fox), his family Colm, Una (Nigel), Gavin (Louise), Sharon (David) & Laura, his sisters Ann Byrne (Tom), Cavan & Bernadette McKeon (Frank R.I.P.) Drumshanbo, his grandchildren Michaela, Mark, Mia, Grace, Niamh, Katelyn & Patrick, his nieces & nephews, extended Brennan and Fox families, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St. Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, N41 TD62 this Tuesday evening, 13th May, from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday from his home to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore.

Mary Smith

(née Smith)

Pullamore, Killygarry, Cavan

Mary Smith née Smith, Pullamore, Cavan peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her parents Jack and Bridget, brothers Jimmy and Vincent, nephews James and Vinny.

Beloved wife of Colin and dear mother of Donna (Seamus), Jamie (Carmel), Gavin (Shelly) and Emma (Colin). Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren Jenny, Chloe, Cian, Jack, kayla, Rhys, Ethan and Luke, great-grandchildren Molly and Archie, sisters Gertrude, Angela, Margaret and Kitty, brothers Sean, Andy and Colm, best friend and sister-in-law Bernadette, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd, Cavan on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday in St Brigid’s Church Killygarry Cavan at 11 am followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Dublin Rd, Cavan.

Freddy Carbin

The death has occurred of Freddy Carbin, Aughnameena, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan, Monday 12th May, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Ann, his brother Jimmy, and his sisters Rosaleen, Margaret, Kathleen and Mary

Freddy will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Clare, his daughter Amanda (​​M​​alachy Mc Meel) and son Frankie. His adored grandchildren Jessica and Ross will forever hold him in their hearts. Freddy will be sorely missed by his sisters Annie and Maria and his brother-in-law Joe Mc Enroe, his family circle, neighbours and his many friends.

Freddy will repose at Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, (H18YF22) on Monday (12th) and Tuesday (13th) from 6pm until 9pm. Freddy's funeral procession will arrive to St Marys Church, Urbleshanny, Scotstown, on Wednesday morning for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Anna Douglas (née O'Daly) – 11th May 2025, Malahide, Co. Dublin, formerly of Howth, Co. Dublin and Latton, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the tender care of the staff at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

Beloved wife of Roy, loving mother of Keith, Stephen, Jane, and Jennifer, and adored grandmother to her grandchildren Ruan, Ethan, Dillon, Stella, Hayden, Elsie, Ted and Hugh. Predeceased by her sister Grainne and deeply missed by her sister Sr. Dympna and brothers Seamus, Carl, Francis, Brendan, daughters-in-law Suzanne and Judith, sons-in-law Andy and Peter, as well as extended family, neighbours and wide circle of wonderful friends.

Reposing at Stafford's Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock, on Wednesday the 14th May from 5pm to 7pm. Removal to St. Anne’s Church, Portmarnock on Thursday for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Margaret Hughes, Plás Fionn Barra, Carrickmacross, Co.Monaghan and formerly Rooskey Vale, Monaghan. Monday 12th May peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Pre-deceased by her father Henry and mother Philomena. Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother Gussie, sister in law Michelle, niece Zoë, nephews Rhys & Alfie, extended family and friends.

Margaret's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Tuesday from 3pm - 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am at St.Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan. Burial afterwards in Latlurcan Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mickey Kirk. 49, Ard Ross Avenue, Carrickmacross. 12th May 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by his beloved daughters, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, his parents Michael & Margaret, his brothers Martin, Eamon, Owenie & his sister Breige.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family; his daughters Ciara, Fiona, Dee & Bronagh, his sons-in-law John Paul, Kenny, Kenneth & Adam, his much-loved grandchildren; Tadhg, Moya, Muireann, Shay M.J., Rossa & Ríbh, his extended family, friends & neighbours.

Mickey's funeral cortège will leave his home on Thursday, 15th May, proceeding on foot via the Castleblayney Road & Main Street to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, A81 K253, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
