Emergency services attend scene of fire in Virginia

Emergency services are on the scene of a fire at Main St, Virginia.

It is understood the fire broke out at a takeaway restaurant around 11pm tonight (Friday).

Gardaí, ambulance and three fire engines attended the scene, with the fire appearing to be under control at the time of writing.

Dozens of local onlookers lined the footpaths as the fire brigade dealt with the incident.

It is understood staff were on the premises when the fire broke out. There are not believed to be any significant injuries arising from the incident.
