Gardaí renew appeal for witnesses after accident
Gardaí in Cavan have appealed again for witnesses to a road traffic incident involving an e-scooter that occurred in Ballyconnell earlier this week.
Two boys were hospitalised following the incident.
The older of the two, a teenager, is understood to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The younger of the two- 12 years old- however remains in critical condition having undergone surgery was airlifted to Temple Street Children's Hospital.
The incident occurred on the N87 near Black Ridge roundabout, just south of Ballyconnell town centre, at around 7.15pm on Tuesday evening.
It is understood an e-scooter was the only vehicle involved.
Gardaí particularly want to speak to any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, from the N87 near Black Ridge roundabout between 6.45pm and 7.15pm on Tuesday evening.
