Killeshandra camino sets off this weekend
The Killeshandra Camino Calling is back for its fourth year and organisers are inviting walkers, adventurers, pilgrims, and nature lovers alike to join a one-of-a-kind journey on the longest day of the year.
The walk will take place this Saturday (June 21) in the heart of the breathtaking Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, a region famed for its serene lakes, lush woodlands, and dramatic drumlins.
This event will bring together participants from all over to take part in a scenic 35.5 kilometere walk (with options for shorter routes) through the charming lanes and byways of Killeshandra.
Starting from the Community Hall in the town, walkers will journey through the picturesque landscapes of Killeshandra and west Cavan, featuring rolling hills and tranquil, lake-dotted vistas.
The Camino is a celebration of local beauty, community spirit, and the joy of outdoor activity, offering a unique opportunity to explore this stunning part of Ireland.
Tickets for the event can be bought their website up until today (June 19) at 5pm. To get your tickets, click here.
