Kathleen Gaul
(née Kehoe)
Dublin / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan / Rathvilly, Carlow
Kathleen Gaul (née Kehoe), Dublin and Derrylurgan, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Formerly of Williamstown, Rathvilly Co. Carlow.
Kathleen died peacefully in the exceptional care of Fairview Community Unit on the 9th of August 2025.
Beloved wife of Eamon and loving mother of Edel. Sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Bernard, grandson Aaron, brothers John, Pat, Vincent and Joe, sister Mary, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road D6W N279 on Wednesday (13th August) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning (14th August) to the Church of St. Paul of the Cross, Mount Argus for Funeral Mass at 11.30am, followed by burial in Newlands Cross Cemetery at 1.30pm.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of St. Luke’s, Rathgar Dublin 6.

Ernest (Ernie) Maxwell
39 Cabra, Threemilehouse, Monaghan
Peacefully on Thursday 7th August 2025 at Cavan General Hospital. Also his brother Robert (Bobby) Maxwell who died earlier this year in England.
Deeply regretted by the family circle.
A private funeral service and burial will be held for them both.
John McGahan
29 Tully, Monaghan Town, Monaghan
Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of John Mc Gahan, 29 Tully, Monaghan Town, Sunday 10th August, in his 94th year, peacefully surrounded by all his family at home. Predeceased by his grandson Kieran.
John will be missed by his wife Bridie, his children, Bernadette (Liam Wilson), Noel (Sadie), John Jnr. (Geraldine) and Malachy, his adored grandchildren, Linda, Shane, Sinead, Stephen, Rhianne, Calum, and Emma and his 9 great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and his fellow fishermen.

John will be repose at Clerkins Funeral Home Milltown, Monaghan (H18YF22) on Monday the 11th from 4pm until 8pm. John's funeral procession will arrive to St Macartan’s Cathedral on Tuesday morning for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial alongside his grandson Kieran in Laturcan cemetery.

James (Jim) Murphy

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Murphy, Drummons Mill, Scotstown, Co Monaghan H18DN79 peacefully after a brief illness in Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by his Parents James & Mary, brothers Tomas, Jack, Gerry and sister Molly.
Jim will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews both at home and worldwide.
Jim will repose at McMahon’s Funeral Home, Mullan Road, Emyvale. H18FK80 on Monday (11th) from 6pm until 8pm and Tuesday (12th) from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 9.45am travelling via his home and Shanroe Cross to arrive at St Tierney’s Church, Roslea for funeral mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
