Warm weather to continue right through the weekend

Mild and humid conditions look set to persist with temperatures to remain in the mid twenties right through the weekend.

Quite cloudy this morning with well scattered showers, some of them heavy. The showers will become increasingly confined to the midlands, north and east this afternoon and it will tend to brighten up with longer sunny breaks developing as the day goes on. Continuing mild and humid with highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees in light to moderate westerly or variable breezes.

Any remaining showers in the northeast will die out early tonight and it will be a dry night nationwide under long clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light variable breezes with patches of mist and fog forming overnight.

Largely dry with long spells of sunshine, tomorrow, Friday, once early mist and fog patches clear, with just the chance of an odd light shower in the west and north. Highest temperatures will range 20 to 26 degrees in light to moderate northeasterly or variable breezes.

Largely dry with long clear breaks on Friday night, with just a few patches of mist and fog forming around dawn. Isolated showers may develop near the southwest coast overnight. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light to moderate northeasterly or variable winds, fresh and gusty at times near southern and western coasts.

Many places will be dry on Saturday, with spells of sunshine in light to moderate easterly breezes. It will be a bit breezier in Munster with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds and thicker cloud pushing in from the southwest bringing a few scattered showers here. The showers will edge further northeastwards over parts of Connacht and southwest Leinster in the evening. Highest temperatures of 21 to 26 degrees.

Very mild and muggy on Saturday night with temperatures no lower than 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate east to southeast breezes. It'll be mainly dry with clear spells and just isolated showers.

Sunday will start out dry and mostly sunny. Scattered showers will push in from the southwest during the morning, some of them potentially turning heavy with thundery downpours possible during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees in mostly moderate southeast winds.

Monday will bring a mix of warm sunny spells and scattered showers. Again some of these showers could be heavy and possibly thundery. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes.
