The death has occurred of Bartle Cahill, Edenburt, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully on September 9th 2025 at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Bartle and Katie, his brothers Mattie, Pat, Phil, and Tommy, sisters May and Rose.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Joan, daughter Helen sons Brian (Armelle), Kieran and Fergal (Deirdre) his loving grandchildren Cillian, Ciara, Aileen, Caroline, Hazel, and Audrey, his sisters Lena, Rita, and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82 YV58), on Thursday evening from 5pm until prayers at 8pm.

Removal on Friday morning to St. Matthew’s Church, Maghera, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private please.

Sadly missed by her loving sons Kevin and Dermot, daughters Susanne and Maria, sisters Anna, Bridget, Kitty and Margaret, grandchildren Charlie, Jason and John, daughter in-law Frances, son-in-law Ciaran brothers and sisters in-law and all her nieces and nephews.

The death has occurred of Dymphna Gargan (née Cassidy), Ervey, Kilmainhamwood, Kells, Co. Meath, formerly of Dundalk Road, Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh, suddenly at her home after a short illness, 8th September 2025.

Predeceased by her beloved parents Mary and Joseph, her sisters Veronica, Mamie, Sheila and her brothers Seamus, Brendan, Mickey and Patsy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Philip, her children Róisín (Ciarán), Alan (Jacqui), Philip (Ray), Noel, and Fiona (Daniel), her cherished grandchildren Shauna, Ciarán, Grace, Rosie, Ríona, Caelan, Fiadh, Eóin and Shay, her brother Joe (Peggy), sisters-in-law Martha, Roseleen (Nigel), and Joan (Ollie), her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt (A82 R3W2), on Wednesday 10th September, from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, 11th September, at 10am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Benny Mc Mahon

Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Benny Mc Mahon, formerly Dromore, Castleblayney and more recently Park Rd, Drumillard, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan. Tuesday September 9th peacefully in the tender loving care of the nurses and staff, St Mary’s Hospital Castleblayney, surrounded by his loving family members.

Pre-deceased by his wife Philomena, parents Owen and Mary, sisters Sarah Gilgunn and Alice Hanratty, brothers Owen, Tommy, Peter and Pat.

Benny deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family neighbours and friends.

May Benny’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Benny will repose at Wards funeral home Castleblayney (A75NP30) tomorrow Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm and again on Thursday morning from 10:30am until removal at 11:40am, proceeding on foot to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for funeral mass at 12noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please donations if desired to The Dromore Unit, St.Marys Hospital C/o Wards funeral home or by donation box.

As a collective family, Benny’s nieces and nephews would like to acknowledge the love and care his niece Josie afforded Benny, unfortunately Josie cannot attend his funeral owing to travelling in Australia at present.
