The death has occurred of Anna Brady (née Kiernan), Kilnacor, Crosskeys, Co. Cavan, Tuesday October 7th, tragically, following an accident. Pre-deceased by her parents John Joe and Kathleen Kiernan and infant grandson Diarmúid. Beloved wife of Bertie and devoted mother of Olivia (Brian Fitzsimons), Nathalie (Gary Byrne), Karlos, Brian (Majella Walsh), her adored grandchildren James, Oisín, Áine and Laura, brothers Tommy (Mary), Phil (Bríd), sisters Eilish O'Reilly (Seamus) and Mary McCabe (Laurence), nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road Cavan on Thursday from 5.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal from her home on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm to St Matthew's Church, Crosskeys to arrive for Requiem Mass at 2.00pm, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Susan Keogh

(née Hyland)

Rathmore, Broadway, Wexford / Stillorgan, Dublin / Cavan

Formerly Stillorgan, Dublin and Banaho, Co. Cavan.

Beloved wife of the late James (Jim). Loving mother of Fionnuala, Angela and Fintan. Sister of the late Margaret, Matthew, Larry, Charlie and Mary. Very sadly missed by her loving daughters, son, grandchildren Sarah and Stephen, daughter-in-law Jacqueline, sisters-in-law Eileen and Helen, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday, 9th October, from 4.00 pm until 8.00 pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Our Lady's Island on Friday, 10th October, for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon followed by burial afterwards in Our Lady's Island Cemetery. Kathleen Mc Mullen (nee Murray) Corbeagh, Cootehill, Co. Cavan October 7th 2025 peacefully at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Dessie, brother Sean and Sister Mary.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, son Brian, daughters Ramona (Steve) and Mary Nugent (Des), brother Niall, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home (H16 FD25), Cootehill, Co. Cavan this Thursday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Removal leaving her residence (H16 PP64) on Friday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass, followed by burial in St. Michael’s cemetery.

Simonetti (née Brady) Marietta (Rathfarnham, Dublin and formerly Ballinagh, Co Cavan) 4th October 2025. We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Marietta Simonetti. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary Ellen, sisters Kathleen and Rose, brother Danny. She will be dearly missed by her loving children Josephine and Jennifer, grandchildren Michael, Sarah and Séan, Marietta is also mourned by her sister Pauline Walsh, brothers John, Tony, Tim, Martin, Eamon and Michéal, sons-in-law John and Rana, former husband Joseph, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

The death has occurred of Thomas Cunningham, Tividinna, Culloville P.O., Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, Wednesday 8th October 2025. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Annie Cunningham and his sister Breda. Deeply regretted and sadly missed with love by his loving wife Ann, children Martin, Joan, Colum, Barry, Kevin, Sean, Grainne and Maria, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his adored fourteen grandchildren, sisters Kathleen and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

John Keenan

Annalitten, Castleblayney, Monaghan / Dundalk, Louth

The death has occurred of John Keenan, Annalitten, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and late of Brid A Crinn, Dundalk, Co. Louth. Tuesday October 7th peacefully at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.

John, came to Ireland from Liverpool in 1968. He worked as Senior Development Officer for FÁS (now SOLAS) in the Monaghan region, where he made a lasting contribution to local enterprise and training.

John had a wide range of interests, including the Scouting movement, the Castleblayney Show, and the Cúchulainn Archery Club. A talented archer, he proudly represented Ireland in international competition, winning gold medals at both European and World Championships.

Beyond his professional and sporting achievements, John was a devoted gardener, generously sharing his fruit and vegetables with family and neighbours.

He is deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, brother Tommy and sister Mary Bailey.

John is remembered with love by his family, wife Gay, daughter Nicola, son Sean, son in-law Rory, daughter in-law Jan, his cherished grandchildren Sunny, Hugh, Liam, Eoin and Fleur, brother Denis, sister Terry Lewis, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Bernadette, parents Paddy and Kathleen, sister Collette and brother-in-law James Gartland.

Cherished and much-loved father of Roy (Aideen), Debbie, Mark (Bernadette), Hayley (Tony Barr) and Julie (Mark Cornyn). Predeceased by her parents Owen and Rosaleen, her sisters Mary and Margaret, and her Brothers Eugene and Michael, her sisters in law and brothers in law. Sadly missed by her loving husband Pat, her sons James and Pauric, daughters in law Michelle and Lianne, her adored grandchildren Aoife, Sean, Misha, Ciaran, Patrick, Daniel and Jack.
