Fermanagh Firm wins share of €3.2m road sign contract

Earlier this year Ernco confirmed the acquisition of Meath-based company Delani Street and Traffic (DSAT).

A Fermanagh company has secured a share of a €3.2 million contract to replace road signs across the Republic of Ireland.

Ernco Group, based in Derrylin, is expanding its exports through its participation in a local authority framework agreement in the Republic.

Earlier this year Ernco confirmed the acquisition of Meath-based company Delani Street and Traffic (DSAT).

Established in 2006, Ernco has grown into one of Northern Ireland’s leading producers of branding signage and temporary traffic management solutions. DSAT, located in Kells, is a well-established supplier of street furniture and traffic-calming products.

Ernco currently employs 15 people at its Derrylin site, with up to five additional jobs expected to be created locally over the next two years as a result of the acquisition.

As part of its latest growth announcement, Ernco is to create six new jobs in Fermanagh with support from Invest Northern Ireland.

Director Seamus Owens said the company has seen significant export growth in the Republic.

“The contract with the local authority means we are increasing our exports substantially in the Republic of Ireland, and we’re delighted to be growing our headcount here in Derrylin,” he said.
