New Day Activation Unit in Cavan to go for planning
Plans to be submitted by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Plans for a new Day Activation Unit in Cavan Town are moving forward, with the project expected to go to planning within the next four months, according to Senator Robbie Gallagher.
Senator Gallagher confirmed that progress is being made following the completion of the tender competition for the project. The HSE Dublin North East Capital & Estates office has now issued a Letter of Intent to the preferred provider for the development and delivery of the new facility in County Cavan. The proposed site for the leasehold development is located in Lisdaran, Cavan Town.
“The project is now progressing into the design feasibility stage, with a planning application expected to be submitted by the end of the first quarter of 2026,” Senator Gallagher explained. “I am delighted to see tangible progress on this important initiative and look forward to the completion of the design and planning stages, paving the way for construction to begin.”
He also paid tribute to those who have supported the project over the years. “I would like to commend the tireless efforts of parents and the dedication of both past and present committees who have worked so hard to bring this project to this point. This development will be a vital addition to the community and will make a real difference for local families.”
