Public consultation on Bring Bank CCTV
The Council plans to install and operate CCTV cameras at various sites for fixed periods
Cavan County Council is inviting the public to participate in a consultation regarding the proposed re-deployment of CCTV cameras across its Bring Bank Network throughout County Cavan.
The Council plans to install and operate CCTV cameras at various sites for fixed periods, with the sole purpose of preventing littering and illegal dumping, in accordance with the Litter Pollution Act, 1997, as amended.
This initiative will be conducted in line with the new National Code of Practice for the Operation of CCTV for the Prevention, Detection, and Prosecution of Litter Offences.

Members of the public, as well as voluntary and representative bodies, are invited to submit observations or feedback on the proposed CCTV re-deployment.
Submissions may be made in writing to the Environmental Services Section, Cavan County Council, Farnham Street, Cavan, County Cavan, or emailed to litterplan@cavancoco.ie.
The consultation period will run for three weeks, concluding on November 26.
