Toys and gifts galore at Pricewise
Pricewise in Cootehill is a haven for children and gift shoppers alike with long aisles filled with the latest outdoor and indoor games and toys.
Shopping for Christmas has already started in the Market Street toy store, and when the Celt calls, a brand-new bike is being wheeled out of the store ready to be wrapped up and placed under the Christmas tree - the perfect gift from mam and dad.
In the business for almost sixty years, Victor Reilly knows his customers well, which is why he has a vast selection of indoor and outdoor farm machinery toys for boys and girls.
“This area is a farming area, so this is where we gain. Smyths toys and these places don’t do much on the farming end, it’s not big for them but for us it’s very big,” he says.
Brands such as Bruder and Siku line the shelves; tractors, slurry tanks, harvesters and diggers galore, meanwhile larger outdoor Rolly machinery such as CAT, John Deere, Masey Ferguson, New Holland, and more also sit on display. Berg go-karts are also stocked at Pricewise as well as a huge selection of bikes for children, teenagers and adults, which will be fitted to you in store. Mountain and road bikes, helmets and all accessories are available too.
This year has been a “very successful” one in the bike department, aided by the good weather, people’s willingness to get outdoors and the expertise of Patsy in the bike department when it comes to purchases, sales, fittings and repairs.
If you have a budding firefighter at home, there are plenty of Fireman Sam toys in the store, and Smoby chainsaws too, and for those who want to transform the sitting room into a brand new business, Pricewise has cash registers, tea sets, hairdressing tools, stables and more. Henry and Hetty hoovers can lend a helping hand when it comes to cleaning up afterwards.
“People like variety, the choice of toys here is just amazing,” he comments.
For school days, Pricewise stocks stationary, books, and educational posters to help with different school subjects. It also carries a large selection of cards for any occasion including Christmas.
Spreading the cost
Pricewise aims to help customers by allowing them to pay a deposit on an item, put it by and pay it off in instalments. “We’re flexible,” Victor comments.
“Many thanks to all of our loyal customers, we put our customers first and try to give the best service we can.
There is great team work at Pricewise, with Victor’s wife Audrey and his son Graham helping out, Patsy who looks after the bike department sales, while Adeline creates a welcoming, friendly atmosphere at the checkout among her many other duties.
Victor thanks all his loyal customers and wishes them a happy Christmas.
