Met Éireann issues dense fog warning
The status yellow warning will be valid between 5am and 10am on Saturday
Met Éireann has advised motorists to take extra care on Saturday morning, warning that dense fog will create difficult driving conditions across several parts of the country, including counties Cavan and Monaghan.
A status yellow fog alert has been issued for eleven counties—Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, and Wicklow—where visibility is expected to be significantly reduced.
The warning comes into effect at 5 a.m. and will remain in place until 10 a.m. on November 22.
According to the forecaster, drivers in the affected areas should be prepared for poor visibility and potentially hazardous travel conditions.
Met Éireann’s alert follows a week of freezing weather that has already impacted much of the country, adding another layer of caution for those planning to be on the roads Saturday morning.
