‘An ideal time to sell’
Liam Reilly Auctioneers Ltd in Ballinagh has experienced a “good” year, with high demand for properties.
“Demand for properties is there - it’s just that supply isn’t as much as we all would like,” auctioneer Lindsey Reilly told the Celt.
“Properties are exceeding their asking price in most cases,” she added.
“It’s a seller’s market.”
Meanwhile she said it is also “hard” to get a rental property.
“No matter where your properties are, they are selling, be it in the country or towns.”
Liam Reilly Auctioneers covers Ballinagh, Arva, Gowna, Kilnaleck, Cavan Town and also as far as Edgeworthstown and Longford.
Their land letting service spreads to “all counties” including Cavan, Longford, Westmeath, Leitrim, and beyond.
“We have a good few farms on our books,” outlined Lindsey.
Now the team at Liam Reilly Auctioneers is working hard to get people in their new homes for Christmas, they are liaising with solicitors to work through the “rush” at this time of year.
“There is a couple of sales due to close and obviously the purchasers would be hoping for this side of Christmas, and we would be hoping for that too,” she said.
“There are still lots of people looking for properties , if anybody is thinking of selling , it’s an ideal time to sell and give us a shout,” she encouraged.
Lindsey wished all of her customers and very happy Christmas and thanked them for their custom and support during 2025.
