Monaghan crash victim named
The woman killed in a road traffic incident near Castleblayney early yesterday morning has been named as Emma Mackarel (née McClean) from Latgallan, Clones.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and a car on the N2 at Mullaghnee, Annalitten, Castleblayney, at approximately 8am, Thursday, December 18.
Emma is the cherished daughter of John and Linda McClean and is predeceased by her grandmother Jean McClean.
She is deeply regretted and remembered with love by her heartbroken family, husband Andrew, daughter Eva, son Alec, parents John and Linda, sister Donna (Rodney), brother David (Hayley), grandfather Thomas McClean, father and mother-in-law Eric and Betty Mackarel, brother-in-law Alan (Sallyann), sister-in-law Tanya, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
"House strictly private at all times please," her death notice on rip.ie reads.
Her funeral service will take place on Sunday the 21st of December at 2pm at Stonebridge Presbyterian Church, Gransha More, Clones, Co Monaghan (H23N524) followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.
Family flowers only please, donations if so desired, in lieu of flowers to the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation or Lauralynn Children's charity c/o George Hall Funeral Director or any family member.
"The family would like to thank you for your kind messages, prayers and support at this difficult time," Emma's death notice reads.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Road users who were travelling on the N2 between Castleblayney and Broomfield between 7:30am and 8:15am, and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
