The heart of Townhall Arts Centre

Best Cavan Event: Cavan Arts Festival. It’s growing year by year. Top marks for variety, diversity, talent, colour and fun! I can’t wait to see what the Cavan Arts Festival Committee have in store for us in 2026!

One to watch: The Feel Bad Movie Club brought to us by the very talented Liam McCabe who is launching his album ‘Year of the Dog’ on Saturday, February 7 at Townhall Cavan.

Best TV/Streaming: The House of Guinness - although it is loosely based around facts it gives a good insight into Ireland in days of yore.

Best Music: Indigos Ego. Cavan’s newest band. These guys have their own original sound and I cant wait to hear more of them.

Best (theatre) Show: Stand up comedian Jason Byrne was hilarious in his last show at Cavan Townhall!

Cavan audiences are great. Jason himself said it was his favourite show of that tour. For anyone who missed him, Jason Byrne is back in the county with his new show ‘Head in the Clouds’ at Cavan Townhall on Friday, April 10 2026.

Best Podcast: Ireland’s No.1 podcast for 2025 - Crime World by Nicola Tallant. She is very good at what she does! And she’s remarkably fearless!
