Snow-Ice warning for Cavan and Monaghan

A Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning has been issued for Cavan and Monaghan valid from tomorrow (Saturday) evening until Sunday morning.

This warning is also in place for Donegal, Connacht and Louth, meanwhile there is a Status Yellow - Low Temperature/Ice warning for Munster, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.

A Met Éireann spokesperson has warned that there will be "wintry showers" with "some snow accumulations."

Meanwhile, sharp or severe frost and ice is also expected.

Possible impacts include hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

The warning is valid from tomorrow evening (Saturday) from 6pm until Sunday morning at 11am.
