The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Daire (née Masterson) Ardcondra, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon, formerly Killeshandra, Co. Cavan. January 10th 2026, unexpectedly at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore.
Pre-deceased by her parents John and Mary Ellen and her brother Laurence and mother-in-law Lauretta.
Peggy will be sadly missed by her husband Seán and their family Martin, Michael, Lorraine and her husband Peadar, Vivienne and her partner John, Shane and his partner Penelope, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace
Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon F52WT26 on Tuesday evening (January 13th 2026) from 5p.m. until 7p.m. Removal to St. Michael's Church, Cootehall, on Wednesday morning to arrive for celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Ardcarne Cemetery.

Wesley Gumley, Deggan, Butlersbridge, Co. Cavan, Saturday January 10th 2025, suddenly and peacefully at his home. Wesley was a dedicated and devoted family man who will be greatly missed by his heartbroken wife Hazel, devastated son Keith, daughter in law Allyson (Gormley), brother Frank (Amy), sister Linda (Sidney Kilroy) best friend Adrian Donohoe and his nieces and nephews.
Wesley touched the hearts of many with his loyalty and humour and will be sadly missed by his wide circle of friends and family.
Resting at his home in Deggan (H12 HX05) on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Wesley's Funeral Service will take place on Thursday at 12 noon in Cavan Parish Church, Farnham St. Cavan. Interment will take place afterwards in the New Cemetery, Tullacmongan, Cavan Town. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Cavan Parish Church Restoration Fund, c/o Mc Mahon Funeral Directors, Farnham Rd, Cavan, donation box in the church or any family member. Sheila Lynch (nee Kennedy), Corracarrow, Ballyjamesduff and formerly of Westport, Co Mayo, on January 11th at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
Predeceased by her devoted husband Patrick Patsy Lynch and her brothers Ray and Micheál. Sadly missed by her loving family and devoted neighbours, her brother Kevin and sister Una, sisters in law, especially Joanne in Dublin, nieces and nephews; Emma, Raymond and Gordon, in Dublin. Siobhan, Aoife, and Michael, in Galway. Kevin, Noel and Colm in Monaghan. Samantha and Michael in Canada, in laws Sandra, Julie and Ian, grandnieces, grandnephews, family and wide circle of friends.
