Teresa Lieghio
(née Cirefice)
Navan, Meath / Belfast, Antrim / Belturbet, Cavan
The death has occurred of Teresa Lieghio (née Cirefice) aged 94, late of the Valley Café, Watergate Street, Navan, Co. Meath and formerly of Erne Restaurant, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and Roden Inn, Roden Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim, peacefully at home in Casalattico, Italy, Monday 19th January 2026. Predeceased by her husband Benedetto Lieghio, her brother Francesco Cirefice, sister-in-law Concetta Lieghio and twin infant sister Gina.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her children; Gelsomina (John McNeill), Orazio, Giovanni and Francesca (Orazio Forte); sons-in-law and daughter-in-law. Beloved granny to her 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, the Farrell family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home in Casalattico, Italy. Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 10am (Irish Time) in the Church of San Barbato, Casalattico, Italy.

Berneyhill, Lough Gowna, Cavan
The death has occurred of Gerry Donohoe, Lakeview House, Berneyhill, Lough Gowna, Co Cavan, Sunday January 18th in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his parents Mary Ellen and Patrick, his wife Margaret and his sister Mary.
Sadly missed and deeply regretted by his daughters Bernadette, Rosemary and Geraldine, sons John and David, his adored grandchildren Louise and Grace Tierney and their dad Dominic, Jamie and Noah Mallon, Daniel, Shannon and Elle Donohoe, son in law Sean, daughter in law Min, John's partner Michele, brother Padraig and sister in law Anne, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, grandniece and grandnephews, cousins relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Monday evening from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12.00 noon in the Church of the Holy Family, Lough Gowna, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sunday, January 18th (peacefully) in his 96th year in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Virginia surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Patricia, his parents Mary & Edward, his brother Charles and sisters; Molly, Ceila, Kathleen and Mona. Sadly missed and deeply regretted by his son's; Paul (Marian), Declan (Noeline), Patrick and Enda (Alva), daughter Mary, grandchildren; Grainne, Lorcan, Conor, Oisin, Dylan, Aoibhinn, Aaron, Iosa and Ella, brother in law Brendan Caldwell, sister in law Peggie Farrelly, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck A82 DX59 on Tuesday (20th) from 6pm to 8pm. Removal from his son Declan's home on Wednesday (21st) to St. Brigid's Church, Mountnugent arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Crosserlough.
Diarmuid McGuinness
The Donahies, Dublin / Mullahoran, Cavan / Aughavas Co Leitrim
Saturday, January 17th, 2026, peacefully at Bon Secours Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Diarmuid will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend Olive, daughter Éadaoin, his sons Ciaran (Catherine), Diarmuid (Elaine), Ronan (Leah) and Brían, his cherished grandchildren, Seán, Síofra, Níamh, Caoimhe, Ciara and Cillian, his sisters Maureen, Dympna and Carmel, brothers Seán, Fr. Ciaran, Killian, Conleth, Pre-deceased by his parents Phillip and Sheila, sisters Patricia and Rita, brothers Conor, Phillip, Declan and Aidan and brothers-in-law Stephen and Micheál.
Diarmuid’s family would like to sincerely thank the Doctors, Nurses, staff and chaplains of the Bon Secours Hospital who took great care of Diarmuid and all the care workers who attended to Diarmuid at home.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock D17 FK58 on Thursday afternoon 22nd January from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Donaghmede arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.

The death has occurred on 19th January 2026 of Hugh Duffy, Drummerlough, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan in his 98th year. Hugh died peacefully in the loving care of his Family and the Staff of Broomfield House, Castleross.
Predeceased by his wife Martha, his parents Owen and Rose, his sisters Gretta, Bridie, Kathleen & Julia. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his son Patrick (Valerie), his daughters Rose (Collie), Annamarie (Rory), Elizabeth (Alaster), his sisters Róisín, Teresa & Eileen, his grandchildren & great-granddaughter, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Brothers Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt, (A82R3W2) on Thursday, 22nd January from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 23rd January in St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Lower Magheracloone at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick Joseph (Pat) O’Hanlon, Greystones, Co. Wicklow (formerly of Glaslough, Co. Monaghan). Passed away peacefully 17th January 2026 in his 94th year, in the gentle care of the staff at Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home.
Pre-deceased by his cherished wife Joan (née Mannix), and his siblings, Sally, Frank, Maura and Gene.
Much-loved Dad of Yvonne, Valerie, Sandra, Rory, Redmond and Joan. Sadly and lovingly missed by his brother Seamus, his sister-in-law Bee, his grandchildren Maggie, Hannah, Laura, Rachael, Daniel, Holly, Lily, Ciarán, Fionnán, Rebecca, Tighearnán, Ellen and Katie, his great grandchildren Laila, Koda, Kyron and Ailbhe, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Reposing at Mark Kinsella Funeral Home, Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow (A63 X456) on Wednesday 21st January from 7pm until 8.30pm.
Funeral Mass on Thursday morning 22nd January at 10am in Holy Rosary Church, La Touche Road, Greystones after which Pat will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones.
