Cecilia Richardson (née Mulligan), Cairn, Ballyjamesduff, and formerly of Lacken, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan. suddenly but peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital on Saturday, 31st January 2026, surrounded by her loving husband Gerry and her family.

Predeceased by her parents, Mike Joe and Rose.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Gerry; her brothers Padraig (Sharon), Michael, Frankie (Olivia), and Gerard (Eimear); her sisters, her twin Maggie (Maggie P), Rosie (Adrian), and Susan (Seamus).

Also sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews Aidan, Gavin, Tiernan, Aoibhe, Grainne, and Mille Rose (goddaughter); aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Monday evening from 5.30pm with prayers at 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12:00 noon in St Michael’s Church, Potahee, interment afterwards in the adjoining new Cemetery.

Clarise Reilly (née Smith), beloved wife of the late Brendan, Killynebber, Cavan and late of Cloverhill, Kells, Co Meath.

Pre-deceased by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters.

Saturday, January 31, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Oakview Nursing home, Belturbet.

Carol Monaghan (née Kavanagh), Rosculligan, Cavan and Dublin, Saturday, January 31, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Anthony and dear mother of Emma, Tony, Andrew, John, Harriet and David. Pre-deceased by her beloved brother Shay.

Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, sons in law, daughters in law, her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren relatives and many friends.

Joe (Joseph) Fitzgerald, Knocknashammer, Mountain Lodge, Cootehill, Co Cavan.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026 surrounded by his loving family and in the care of the staff at Fairlawns Private Nursing Home Bailieborough, Co Cavan.

Predeceased by his parents William and Evelyn, his sister Irene and his brother-in-law Johnny Field.

Sadly missed by his sisters Pearl (Derek Cox) and Wanda (Eric Forde), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral cortège will leave the home of his sister Pearl and Derek Cox on Monday, February 2 at 1:30pm to arrive at Kilmount Presbyterian Church (H16PF76) for 2pm funeral service followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Beloved husband of Sydney and dear father of Robert (Dawn) and Clive (Elise), his adored grandchildren Samuel, Ben and Jacques.

Margaret McCarville (née Mc Caughey), Clonkeen, Clones and formerly of The Creighton Hotel, Clones Co. Monaghan. Margaret passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, 30th January 2026. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo.

Adored mother of Edel (Gerry), Leone (John), Celine (Brendan) and Patrick (Marion). Margaret will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughters, son and their partners, grandchildren, Chloe, Sophie, Conor, Aidan, Brea, Leo and Shea, brother Michael Mc Caughey (Kathleen), her sister Rosaleen (Alfie Mc Grath) and sister in-law Una, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and by all who knew and loved Margaret

Adrian Keenan, Fermoyle, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan, much loved son of Sean and the late Josephine Keenan, Wednesday 28th January 2026, tragically, following a road traffic accident.

Cherished son of Sean and adored brother to Jacinta, John (Leanne), Eugene (Jeny) and Veronica. Adrian will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken Dad, sisters, brothers and their partners, his nephews, Caleb, Aaron and Austin, his loving partner, Alannah, his aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours, work colleagues, wide circle of friends and by all who knew and loved Adrian.

Adrian will repose at the family home, Fermoyle, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan on Saturday and Sunday evening from 4pm to 8pm. House private to family and close friends at all other times please, Adrian's Funeral Mass will take place on Monday 2nd February in St. Mary's Church, Urbleshanny, Scotstown, at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of

Margaret Martin (née Mills), Formerly of Tattybrack, Rockcorry and Leeds (UK).

Peacefully on Friday, January 30 at Sullivan Nursing Home, Cavan.

Pre-deceased by her parents William & Anna Susan, Infant brother Thomas, sister Martha King, son Allen and partner John Hawthorne.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her son Ken, daughters Ann, Sylvia and Karina, sons-in-law, her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephew John King, the extended family, neighbours and many friends.

As per Margaret's wishes, following a private cremation, she will rest in eternal peace in "St.John the Evangelist", Dartrey, Church of Ireland, Ematris, Churchyard.

The family would like to thank most sincerely all staff of John Sullivan Nursing Home, Cathedral Road Cavan, for their exceptional love, care and kindness to Margaret.

Mary Griffin (née Mohan), January 30, 2026, after 98 years of health and happiness, (Greentrees Road, Manor Estate, Terenure and formerly of Tedavnet, Co. Monaghan), passed peacefully, in her sleep after a brief illness, in the kind care of the staff of Tallaght Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Séamus and much-loved mum of Gerry, Paul, and Séamus. Predeceased by her parents Catherine and Pat.

Mary will be forever loved and sadly missed by her loving sons, grandchildren Alex and Emily, daughter-in-law Hilda, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, her wonderful kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Bank Holiday Monday (2nd Febraury) from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (4th February) at 10am in St. Agnes’s Church followed by burial in Bohernabreena at approximately 11.45am.

Mary Alice Casserly (nee Watters), 20 Laurel Hill Place, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan on Thursday, January 29, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her husband Jerry, parents Frank and Lizzy Watters Lisdrumgormel, Clontibret and her siblings Bridie (Moore), Eamonn, James and Joan (Loughman).

Mary Alice will be forever lovingly remembered by her family Martin (Kim), Paul (Jenny, RIP), Geraldine, Matthew (Tracie), her cherished grandchildren Shannon, Lauren, Isabelle, Aidan, Gemma, Jamie and great granddaughter, Primrose.
