Man to appear in court on hit and run charge

A man who was arrested in connection with with a hit and run incident in Cavan Town last week will appear before a district court judge this morning.

The incident occurred on the L1513 at Drumlark, Loreto Wood, on the outskirts of Cavan Town last Tuesday evening, February 17, at around 6:45pm.

The man, aged in his 20s, was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a station in the Garda North Western Region. He has been charged and will appear before Monaghan District Court at 10:30am this morning, February 25.

Investigations are ongoing.
