Peacefully on Thursday 19th March 2026

in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Esker Rí Nursing Home.

Bonavalley, Athlone, Co. Westmeath & formerly of Cargagh, Killinkere, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert (Bert), sister Ina and brother John. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Vanda (Fryday) and her son Gordon and his partner Svetlana, son-in-law William, loving grandmother to Shawna and Tyler, Tyler's fiancé Cathy, sister Sadie (Perry) and brother Ivan, sister-in-law Doris and Valerie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand (N37 WY17) on Sunday from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Service will take place at 1pm on Monday in St. Mary's Church of Ireland (N37 CK27) followed by burial afterwards in Cornamagh Cemetery (Nearest Eircode: N37 A9N6).

The death has occurred of Kathleen Hooper (née Lynch),

Biggin Hill, Kent, England / Taghart South, Shercock, Co. Cavan

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing on 4th March 2026 of Kathleen Hooper (née Lynch), of Biggin Hill, Kent, England and formerly of Taghart South, Shercock, Co.Cavan. Kathleen passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Christopher’s Hospice, Lawrie Park Road, London, SE26 6DZ. Pre-deceased by her husband David and her parents John and Annie Lynch.

Kathleen will be deeply and sadly missed by her loving sons Gregory and Christopher, her sisters Teresa (Delany, Rathfarnham, Dublin) and Helen (Leddy, Mullagh), her brothers-in-law Ian, Richard and Roy, her sister-in-law Joyce, her niece Zara and husband Karl, her grand-nieces Rosie and Cara, and her daughter-in-law Lauren. She will also be sadly missed by all her other relatives and her wide circle of neighbours and friends, particularly from Bank of Ireland and the parishes of Biggin Hill and Westerham in England.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care, kindness and support given to Kathleen by Guy’s Hospital in London, the NHS nurses who cared for her during her illness, and the compassion shown by all at St. Christopher’s Hospice.

Kathleen will arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Corlea, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan (A82 XE94) on Wednesday evening 25th March at 5pm. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday 26th March at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, Corlea followed by burial afterwards in Kingscourt cemetery.

Marion O’Reilly (née Clarke), Scee, Lisboduff, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, and formerly of Kilcogy, Co. Cavan, died 19th March 2026, predeceased by her husband Peter, parents Charlie & Molly and brothers Charles and Patsy.

Sadly missed by her brother James, and her sisters in law Kathleen, Chrissie Clarke and Gretta O’Reilly, nephews, nieces, relatives, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May she Rest in Peace

Reposing this Saturday evening at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan from 4pm to 6pm.

Funeral cortège to arrive at St Mary's Church Bunnoe for requiem mass on Sunday at 11am, which can be viewed live on the link below, with cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 1.30pm.

Bridget Timoney, Barran, Blacklion, Co. Cavan & Corrandulla, Co. Galway.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy and sister Mary Margaret. A cherished mum and granny passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by her family.

Bridget is survived by her heartbroken daughters Marion (Sligo) and Gerardine (Galway), grandsons Jamie and Ali (McGloin), son in law Dennis, sister-in-law Tessie (McSharry), nieces, nephews, relatives, many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the family home in Corrandulla, Galway (H91FP9P) on Saturday evening from 6.30 -7.30pm. House private at all other times.

Reposing at Manorhamilton Hospital Chapel (F91 X012) on Sunday from 5 to 6.30 pm.

Removal to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Doobally, Dowra (N41 KR74) for 7.30 pm via Carricknagrow.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

March 19th 2026 Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Patrick celebrated his 90th birthday on St Patrick’s Day. Predeceased by his beloved wife Sheila. Loving father of Anne, James and Paul. Sadly missed by his family, son-in-law Robert, daughters-in-law Catherine and Róisín, his adored grandchildren Philip, Colin, Sínead, Séan, Alex, Aoife, Patrick and Clíona, sister-in-law May, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Watson Funeral Director’s, Dyer St, Drogheda (A92 W7EP) on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning in Sacred Heart Church, Laytown (A92 PF20) at 11am which will be livestreamed on www.youtube.com/user/finnegandvd Burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire, Piltown.
