Traffic plans for Ulster SFC semi-final in Clones

Down V Armagh is at St Tiernach's Park at 4pm

As Clones prepares to host Armagh and Down in the SFC semi-final today, An Garda Síochána have put the following traffic measures in place.

Access from the town centre will be closed at approximately 2:30pm due to pedestrian traffic. Access will still be possible via the Roslea Rd side.

The official car park access from the town centre will close at approximately 2:30pm due to pedestrian traffic. Access can still be gained via the Roslea Road.

Road closures around the pitch at Fermanagh St and the Diamond will come into effect at 12pm. The N54 will remain open during general road closures.

Gardaí advise the following access routes:

The primary access routes will be N54 from Monaghan and R183 from Newbliss.

- parking is available in the town centre and on access roads.

- parking is also available on the Cavan side of the town, with pedestrian access to town centre via the marina.

- there is also parking close to the grounds on the Roslea, Lacky and Magheraveeley roads. They are be accessed from the N54 by turning right for Harte Peat.

- Monaghan Town can be avoided coming from Clontibret side by using the bypass towards Grahams (Coolshanagh roundabouts); then follow diversions just after Circle K on N2, turning to the left after Circle K.

Coming from Emyvale side, follow diversions to the right just before Circle K (as you are entering Monaghan Town).

Gael Scoil Eois (Roslea Rd) has significant parking suitable for Disability Badge holders, which backs onto the grounds and has pedestrian access to the church.
