Established in 1977, Kyte Powertech has developed from a local manufacturing operation into an internationally recognised engineering business employing more than 500 people representing over 30 nationalities. Despite its international reach, the company has remained firmly committed to manufacturing in Ireland, with engineering, production, assembly, and testing operations continuing at its Cavan facility.

Over the decades, the factory has expanded significantly and today represents a major employer within the region. Every transformer produced on site is designed and manufactured through a combination of engineering expertise, skilled craftsmanship, advanced manufacturing processes, and rigorous testing standards. The work carried out in Cavan supports projects ranging from utility infrastructure and renewable energy developments to housing, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure applications.

Kyte Powertech has also been awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal in recognition of its sustainability performance and responsible business practices.

Sustainability is also reflected in the transformer solutions developed and manufactured at the Cavan facility.
