CMETB awards €80,000 to local youth groups across the region

Representatives from Clones Community Games and Clontibret Community Games also accepted grant funding.Cavan Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) Youth Services recently held a presentation night allocating funding of around €80,000 to support local youth groups across Cavan and Monaghan.
This funding stream will support youth work activities for young people in both counties and promote youth opportunity, engagement, and inclusion at a local level.
Speaking at the presentation night at the Hotel Kilmore recently, Chief Executive of the education board, Dr Fiona McGrath said: “Youth Services is a fast-expanding area, and I want to commend the CMETB Youth Services team and the Youth Work Committee for their dedication in supporting and advancing Youth Work for our region."
“We are all aware that young people today are navigating an increasingly complex and fast-changing world,” Dr McGrath continued, “This makes the work you do even more impactful,” she said.
“Through your dedication, young people are supported to build resilience, develop life skills, and find positive pathways forward.”
