The death has occurred of Noel Brennan, Dunancory, Virginia, Co. Cavan, and formerly of Bray, Co. Wicklow, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, his brother Gerry and his sister Sr Catherine. Much loved husband of Ann and beloved Dad of Niall and Róisín and adored Gaga of Niamh, Eoghan, Hannah, Juliette and Oliver. Sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, daughter in law Myra, son in law Tony, his sisters and brothers May, Tommy, Madge, Tony, Fr Oliver and Martin, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and dear neighbours.

Reposing at his home, Dunancory, Virginia, A82 NY13 (Oldcastle Road) on Wednesday evening from 5pm until prayers at 8pm, and on Thursday evening from 5pm until prayers at 8pm. Please follow directions from parking attendants. House private at all other times, please. Removal to St Patrick’s Church, Lurgan, for 1 o'clock Funeral Mass on Friday, 19th June, with interment afterwards in Reaghstown Cemetery, Ardee, approx. time of arrival 3.30pm.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Services.

Mary (May) Fitzpatrick (nee Smith), 15 Dunmanus Road, Cabra, Dublin and formerly Clifferna, Stradone, Co. Cavan. Sunday, June 14th, peacefully at The Mater Hospital Dublin, following a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Sean, daughter of the late Katie & John.

Deeply regretted by her loving son John, daughter-in-law Leona and her adoring grandchildren Adam, Isabella and Dylan. Sadly missed by her brothers Michael and Aiden, sisters Kate Mary, Bridie, Angela and Patricia, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (H16 FD25) this Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass, followed by burial in St. Michael’s cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael Hoey, Railway Avenue, Killeshandra and formerly of Leachary, Crosserlough, Co. Cavan and Killester, Dublin, Monday, 15th June 2026. Michael passed away in the loving care of Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathleen and brother Jack. Michael will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend Patricia, sons Michael (Gillian), Karl and daughter Celine, grandchildren Nicole, Chelsea, Abbie, Callum, Keira, Demi and Kole, sisters Geraldine and Bernie, nieces, nephews, family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan H12RF78, tomorrow Tuesday 16th June from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Funeral service on Wednesday at 12noon in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, followed by cremation.

Seamus O’Callaghan, Cullies, Shercock, Co Cavan died on the 14th June 2026 peacefully at The Mater Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Annie and Joseph and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Dympna, son Stephen (Elisha), daughters Ann-Marie and Michelle, cherished grandson Cian and granddaughter Ellie, sisters Kitty and Áine, brothers Joseph, Peadar, Sean, Pauric, Eugene and Paul, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
