The death has occurred of Martha Murtagh, née Healy, Dunheeda, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan and formerly of Garrafrauns, Co. Galway, peacefully and surrounded by her family at Cavan General Hospital, 20th June 2026.
Predeceased by her brother Noel and her sister Anne. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Brendan, her sons Alan and Fergal, her daughters-in-law Kathryn and Monique, her cherished grandchildren Eoin, Onna, Isabelle, Ben, Cameron, Marco and Bella, her sisters Maureen, Joan and Helene, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, A82 R3W2, on Sunday, 21st June, from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, 23rd June, at 10am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Preston (nee Gargan), Preston's Lane, Rahardrum, Virginia and formerly Tierworker.
Margaret Preston (nee Gargan), Preston's Lane, Rahardrum, Virginia and formerly Tierworker, unexpectedly but peacefully in Cavan General Hospital on 19th June 2026 surrounded in the loving care of her family.
Predeceased by her husband Liam Snr., her son Liam Jnr. and her Grandson Christopher, her parents Michael and Anne, her brother Philip and her sisters Rose and Eileen.
A Loving mother who will be forever missed by her children David (Lolita), Janice (Sean), Sophia (Ollie), Maranda (Graham), Laurence (Anna), Sonia, Michael (Tanya), her grandchildren Shauna, Ryan, Nicole, Tyrone, Ben, Kayla, Kyle, Jamie, Daniel, Oisin, Emma, Andrew, Craig, Aaron, Teigan, Keeva, Michael and Pheobe and her great grandchildren Tommy, Bobby, Poppy, Roisin and Hazel, her brother Micko and sisters Annamay and Bridget.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Sunday from 5 until prayers at 8 o'clock.
There will be a small family break from 6.30pm until 6.45pm.
Removal on Monday morning to Mary Immaculate Church Virginia for 11 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The Preston family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors nurses and staff of Cavan General Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Margaret throughout her stay in hospital.

Cathal Brennan, Tasson, Clontibret, Co. Monaghan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, 20th June 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents, Mick and Maggie, Cathal will be deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his brother Michael (Marie), sisters Elizabeth (Ray) and Breda (Uk), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and many friends.

Cathal will repose at Ward’s Funeral Home, Castleblayney (A75NP30) on Monday afternoon from 4.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal from the family home on Tuesday morning at 11.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Annyalla, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Hoey (née Lambe). Stradeen, Carrickmacross. 19th June 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Predeceased by her parents Tommy & Anna, her sisters Angela & Ann and recently by her sister Joyce.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family; her husband Mattie, her daughters Ursula (Philip), Sonia (Padraig), Fiona (Aidan), Gráinne & Niamh (Paraic) and her sons Fergal & Padhraic (Aideen), her much-loved grandchildren; Aoife, Saoirse, Caoimhe, Aaron, Emma, Niall, Daire, Rachel, Cian, Jamie, Lauren, Evan, Dylan & Croía, her brothers Pat & Martin, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends & neighbours.

Betty's funeral cortège will leave her home, Stradeen, on Monday, 22nd June, proceeding to St. Enda's Church, Killanny, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
