Derek Anderson

Main Street, Newbliss, Monaghan / Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Derek Anderson, Main St, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Cootehill, Co. Cavan, Sunday 21st June 2026, who passed away peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Ruth.

Derek will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his daughters Carol, (Robert) and Nicola, his cousins, extended family, neighbours, many friends, and by all who knew and loved Derek.

"Safe in the arms of Jesus".

Derek will repose at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss (H18 C962), on Monday, June 22nd, from 4pm to 9pm.

Derek's Funeral service will take place on Tuesday 23rd in Newbliss Presbyterian Church,at 2pm, followed by burial in adjoining Graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Cootehill Cancer Care, c/o Martin's Funeral Directors, Newbliss or any family member.

Eileen Stafford (née O'Gara)

Muff, Cootehill, Cavan / Glencolmcille, Donegal

Eileen Stafford nee O’Gara, Muff, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co Cavan and formerly of Royard, Glencolmcille, Co Donegal died on the 20th June 2026, suddenly but peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents John and Eileen, brothers Hughie and Paddy, baby brother John Joseph and sister Mary.

Forever loved and missed by her husband Aidan, sons Raymond, Aidan (Alison), Kieran (Leona), her sisters Annie, Brid, Kathryn and Theresa, grandchildren Shannon, Sean, Ethan and Melissa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) on Monday 22nd June from 4pm – 7pm. Funeral on Tuesday to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Maudabawn, Co Cavan (H17 N638) for Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Funeral afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Anna Rose McClave (née Carbin)

Liskenna, Emyvale, Monaghan

We are saddened to announce the death of Anna Rose McClave née Carbin, Liskenna, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan. Saturday 20th June, peacefully at Mater Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle bravely fought.

Predeceased by her parents John & Cassie Carbin.

Anna Rose will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family; Her husband Owenie Joe, sons Shane (Michelle) & Damien, daughter Sharon (Michael), grandchildren Cormac, Aimee, Emily, Layla, Lucy & Rayna, her sister Eileen (Danny), brothers in law, sisters in law, aunts Annie & Bridget, extended family and friends.

Anna Rose’s remains will repose at McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Monday from 4pm - 9pm and Tuesday from 4pm - 9pm.

Anna Rose’s remains will leave her home on Wednesday morning to arrive at St.Patrick’s Church, Clara for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

9, St Macartan's Terrace, Monaghan Town, Monaghan, H18 Y996 / Newbliss, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Martin Mc Gilly, 9, St Macartan's Terrace, Monaghan and formerly of No 3, Main St, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan, Sunday 21st June 2026, peacefully in the Rossmore Ward, Monaghan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget, his brothers Francis and Sean and his sister Mary.

Much loved husband of Ann and cherished father of Cára (Mark), Darina (Gerard) and Darren. Martin will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, son and their partners, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Martin.
