Deadline looms for Lakeland Dairies student bursaries

Lakeland Dairies is reminding students that there are just days left to apply for its Student Bursary programme.

The scheme is open to sons and daughters of Lakeland Dairies milk suppliers and employees and entries close on Friday, June 26.

Six successful applicants will each receive €2,000/£2,000 to support them in their studies in disciplines relevant to the co-operative, including agricultural science, dairy science, manufacturing engineering and related fields.

Liz Shouldice, Chief People Officer, Lakeland Dairies, stated: “We encourage eligible students to submit their applications. This bursary supports young people in their educational journey while helping develop future talent for our co-operative and the wider dairy sector.”

Niall Matthews, Chairperson, Lakeland Dairies, added: “Lakeland Dairies is built on the strength of our farming families and our people. It is important that we support those who will lead the sector in the years ahead.”

Awards will be made following an application and interview process.
