James (Jim) Galligan

Celbridge, Kildare / Mullahoran, Cavan

Galligan, James (Jim), Celbridge, Co. Kildare and late of Mullahoran, Co. Cavan, June 29th 2026, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home. Pre-deceased by his loving parents Conor and Frances, brothers Peter and Brendan and sister Sr. Margaret. Fondly remembered by his loving wife June, adored children Edward, Frances and Andrew, daughter-in-law Ewa, siblings Bridie, Mary, Connie and Tom, sister-in-law Jill, nieces, nephews, extended family, many good friends and former customers of the Celbridge Pottery.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday (July 1st) from 5pm - 7pm. Removal from his residence on Thursday (July 2nd) at approx. 10:30am to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium at approx. 1pm.

The death has occurred of Jean Uttley, Welwyn, Hearts on Tuesday 23rd of June 2026.

Safe in the Arms of Jesus

Deeply regretted & sadly missed by her daughters Julie Cragg & Maggie Matthews, sons in law Tony Cragg and Ronan Matthews and her beloved grandchildren Aibhe and Ben.

A Memorial Service for Jean will take place at St. Paul's Church, Ballymachugh on this Saturday the 4th of July at 3pm.

Phyllis Mc Guigan

(née Mc Guinness)

Mullinahinch, Monaghan

Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Phyllis Mc Guigan (née Mc Guinness), Mullinahinch, Co Monaghan on Sunday the 28th of June peacefully surrounded by her heartbroken family in Cavan General Hospital in her 92nd year

Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Jimmy, her parents Patrick and Mary Mc Guinness, her sisters and her brothers.

Phyllis will be forever remembered with love by her devoted sons and daughters, Paul (Loretta), Fergal (Pauline), Breda, Dessie (Geraldine), Collette (Paul), Tony (Beata), Eamon (Annette), Catriona (Paul), Brendan, Oliver and Conor (Caroline). She was a proud and deeply cherished grandmother to 28 grandchildren and a treasured great-grandmother to 24 great-grandchildren. She will also be sorely missed by her sister, Kathleen Mc Elvaney, her nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

Phyllis will repose in Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, Monaghan (H18YF22) on Monday (29th) & Tuesday (30th) from 5pm until 9pm. Phyllis’s funeral procession will arrive to St. Marys Church, Threemilehouse, on Wednesday morning for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. The death has occurred of Cathal Owens, 54 Loch Mór Avenue, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan on Sunday, June 28th, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital, Drogheda.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his devoted wife Kathleen

and daughters Sinead Maguire (David), Karen Carragher (Vincent), Lynette Woods (Kevin) and Aimee Finn (Brian), his adored grandchildren Jack, Katie, Erin, Laura and Evie Grace, sisters in law Rosina Owens and Chris Owens and brother in law Paddy Sherry,

nieces, nephews, extended family members, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Cathal will repose at Ward's Funeral Home, Ballybay, (A75H585) tomorrow, Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm.

Cathal’s funeral cortège will leave from his home in Loch Mór Avenue on Wednesday morning at 10:30am proceeding on foot to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Rowan

Booterstown, Blackrock, Dublin / Ballybay, Monaghan

Rowan (née Keelaghan) Kathleen, 29th June 2026 in her 90th year, Booterstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Ballybay, Co. Monaghan; wife of the late Fergus, mourned by her children Francis, Julie, Michael, Paul, Anna, John, Sophie, Amy, Daniel and Eve and by her grandchildren Maurice, Paul, Tom, Catherine, Rose, Michael, Isabelle, Alice, Amelia, Patrick, Kathleen, Beth, John and Gabi; by her daughters-in-law and sons-in-law Marla, Jacinta, Alan, Michael and James, and by relations, friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her sister Mary.

Reposing at home on Wednesday (1st July 2026) from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday (2nd July 2026) at 10am in Church of the Assumption, Booterstown followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Little Bray. Link to Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10am here.
