Eileen is hailed a community hero!

Eileen Clarke of Bailieborough Shamrocks GAA has been named as Ulster runner-up in its GAA Community Heroes Campaign.

EirGrid, the operator and developer of Ireland's electricity grid and official timing partner of the GAA and Camogie Championships, announced the winners recently. Now in its second year, the campaign celebrates the invaluable contribution of GAA volunteers who enrich and sustain communities across Ireland.

Almost 80 nominations were received from across the country, highlighting the dedication of volunteers who play a vital role in their clubs and communities.

A winner and runner-up were selected from each of the four provinces.

Eileen was recognised for her outstanding commitment to Bailieborough Shamrocks GAA. Each provincial winner's club receives €5,000, while each runner-up's club will receive €1,500.

The four provincial winners will now progress to the national final.
