Margaret (Nan) McPhillips (nee McManus), Drumahurk, Butlersbridge, Co. Cavan. Former Postmistress at Kilnaleck PO passed away peacefully in The Mater Private Hospital on Monday 6th July 2026. Beloved wife of the late Kevin. Pre-deceased by her sisters Mai, Kathleen & Patricia.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her heart broken family; Breda (Sean), Pat (Sean), Caroline (Paddy), Kevin, Kathleen (Pauric), Tina (John), Gerry (Marie) & Noel (Paula). Her brothers Brian (Kathleen) and Jim, grandchildren; Mark, Colin, Karl, Shauna, Kevin, Aisling, Aoife, Thomas, Patrick, Maria, Nicole, Cian, Cillian, Patrick, Kevin, Alannah, Caoimhe, Chelsea, Senan, Ollie & Esme and her five great-granchildren Noah, Heidi, Gracie, Fachtna & Tiarnan, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends & neighbours.

Reposing in St. Aidan's Church, Butlersbridge on Wednesday (8th) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal from her home on Thursday (9th) to St. Aidan's Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Aidan's Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to St. Aidan's Church c/o Briody Funeral Directors or any family member.

The death has occurred of Cathy Smith, Ardkill Place, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, 6th July 2026. Cathy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her loving parents Tom and Nancy Smith.

Sadly missed by her loving partner Declan O'Reilly, daughters Leanne (Karl) and Jennifer, adored grandchildren Danny, Lucy and Sophia, sisters Marie (late Pat King), Jackie (John), brothers Paddy (Caroline) and Tom (Avril), mother-in-law Olive, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm.

Removal from her home on Thursday afternoon at 12.40pm to St. Felim's Church, Ballinagh, arriving for Requiem Mass at 1pm, interment afterwards in the New Cemetery.

Sadly missed by her loving and devoted daughter Anne, son-in-law Liam, adored grandchildren Eoin, Dónal and Niamh, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family and many friends.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the care of the staff at the Mater Hospital.

Celine will be very sadly missed and forever cherished by her husband Noel, loving son Cian, daughters Ríona, Celine and Aiveen, son-in-laws Euan, Mark and Aamir and also by her adored grandchildren Sophia, Alannah, Alicia, Rayaan, Rahim, Raees and Rian. She will be sadly missed by her sister Breeda, brother in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and kind neighbours.

Predeceased by her beloved parents John and Gertrude King, her brother John and her sisters Maria and Rosemary.
