Theresa Cullen

Bailieborough, Cavan / Baldoyle, Dublin

Theresa Cullen, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and formerly of Baldoyle, Co. Dublin died on the 10th July 2026 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard, her son George and granddaughter Paige.

Deeply regretted by her companion Jimmy, daughters Ann Marie (Michael) and Amanda, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Debbie, son-in-law Eoin, grandchildren Dylan, Jack, James, Madison, Chloe and Zayne, her brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and wider family circle.

Reposing at Clarke’s Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Sunday 12th July from 5pm – 7pm. Funeral on Monday to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 11am. Followed by cremation afterwards.

Sr. M. Veronica (Philomena) Hanratty (M.M.M.)

Medical Missionaries of Mary, Drogheda, Louth / Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred peacefully in Aras Mhuire Nursing Home Drogheda of Sr. M. Veronica (Philomena) Hanratty (M.M.M.) and formerly from Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, USA and Nigeria. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Kate, her brothers Vincent, Brian, PJ and Kevin, her sisters Agnes, Martha, Kathleen, Margaret, Bernadette, Josephine and Vera. Sadly missed by her sisters Dympna and Olive, her many nieces and nephews, their families, relatives and friends and her M.M.M. community.

Rest In Peace

Funeral Mass on Tuesday 14th July 2026 at 11am in Convent, Beechgrove, Drogheda followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.

Margaret (Rita) McQuaid

(née McNicholas)

Moybridge, Emyvale, Monaghan, H18 Y938 / Balla, Mayo

We are saddened to announce the death of Margaret (Rita) Mc Quaid (née Mc Nicholas), Moybridge, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan, H18 Y938 and formerly Balla, Co.Mayo. Friday 10th July peacefully in the loving care of her family and all the wonderful staff of Mullinahinch House Nursing Home.

Pre deceased by her loving husband Johnny and Grandson Ryan.

Lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters; Eugene, Mary, Sean, Verona, Gerard, Martin, Paul, Albert, Breda and Noel, sons in law & daughters in law, grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Rita will be deeply missed by her sister Mary (San Francisco) brother in law Fr Macartan McQuaid and sisters in law Gertie McNally and Chris McQuaid (New York).

Rita will be lovingly remembered by all the McQuaid and Mc Nicholas families, her many friends, neighbours and all who knew and loved her.

May Rita's gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Rita’s remains will repose at her family residence in Moybridge (H18 Y938) on Saturday from 2pm to 9pm and Sunday from 12.30pm to 9pm.

Rita’s remains will leave Moybridge on Monday morning to arrive at The Church of the Holy Family, Ballyoisin for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to ‘The Residents Comfort Fund, Mullinahinch Nursing Home’ c/o McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

House strictly private to family only Monday morning please.
