Saturday sport: Wicklow win Tailteann Cup as Louth take on Mayo in SFC semi-final

The first place in the All Ireland Football Championship final is the prize on offer this evening.

Louth are just underway against Mayo, the wee county in their first semi-final since the 1950's.

Against all odds, Wicklow are Tailteann Cup Champions.

The Garden County put in the mother of all second half comebacks, trailing Down by 0-12 at the break.

They came back and won it 1-21 to 2-16.

Dean Healy riffled the ball into the net late in the second half to help them on their way to a massive win.

Rugby

Ireland has maintained their 100 per cent winning record in the Nations Championship.

Andy Farrell's side picked up a bonus point in their 20-36 victory over Japan in Australia.

Tom O'Toole, Nick Timoney and Robbie Henshaw scored first-half tries, while Seán Jansen and Tom Stewart crossed in the second period.
