Nineteen patients waiting on trolleys in Cavan's emergency department

Nineteen people are waiting on trolleys in Cavan General Hospital's Emergency Department today.

The figures were reported this morning by nurses as part of the daily trolley watch count from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Yesterday, figures show there were six people waiting on trolleys while waiting to be admitted.

Nationally, there are three 317 people waiting on trolleys in emergency departments today, while 188 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
