It is with deep love and great appreciation for this wonderful lady that Bridget's (Bridgie's) family lay her to rest.

She died peacefully on Friday morning in the loving care of the staff at St. Enda's Ward, University Hospital Galway, with her dearly loved family at her side and in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Johnny, daughter of the late Bridget and Terence and sister of the late Alice, Kathleen, Rose, Mary and brothers Michael and Lawrence.

Mourned and deeply missed by her sons and daughters Charlie (Carol), Terry, Ann, Vincent (Berniece), Paul (Dorothy), Noreen (Gus), Carmel (David), Trevor (Lani) and Declan, grandchildren Kristine, Morgan, Dylan, Robyn, Rhys, Larkin, Arlo, Remi, Cedar, Ian, Jane, Mark, Ross, Alex, Abby, Millie, Lucy, Charlie, Lewis and his brother Jack, husbands and partners and her great-grandchildren Robyn, Milo, Bonnie, Mable and Theo, whom she loved dearly.

Fondly remembered with great love and affection by her Sister Elle, brother Owen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Dr. John Lally and to all the carers and staff who looked after our Mum with such kindness and compassion. Your care and support brought great comfort to Mum and to all of us as a family. We will always be deeply grateful for the kindness, dignity and warmth you showed her, especially during her final days.

Forever in our hearts, Mum.

Funeral Arrangements:

Tuesday, 11th August, 2026

Bridget will lie in Repose at St. Anthony's Room, within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra, from 4.30 p.m. with Removal into the Church at 6.00 p.m.

Wednesday, 12th August, 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Bridget at 11.30 a.m. Following Mass she will be laid to rest with Johnny in Rahoon cemetery.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Philip. Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Una (Benny), Breda (Sean), Ita (Bartley), Fidelma (Eugene), Ciara (Gerry), Olive (Enda), sons Jim (Enric) and Ronan (Linda), her 19 grandchildren Cian, Laoise, Neasa, Niamh, Shauna, Eoin, Muireann, Kate, Liam, Tommy, Aoife, Evan, Adam, Christina, Rían, Senan, Oran, Laney and Keala, her 6 great-grandchildren Einín, Fiach, Ayla, Alex, Cara, Riadh, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck (A82 DX59) on Monday 10th from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from her home on Tuesday 11th to St. Mary's Church, Crosserlough for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
